Looking for some fun in destin?  What kind of destination town would we have if the nightlife and entertainment was anything other than great?  This next post in the What to do in Destin series will hopefully give you some choice venues and help in getting you excited about your vacation to Destin Beaches.  With so many places offering live entertainment it will be difficult trying to figure out which place to check out with out a little inside information.  I hope his helps you make some sound decisions.

Some of the previous posts in this series have covered a few of the hot spots for music.  This post will broaden the list of entertaining places.  After parasailing with Destin Beach Parasail and have had time to end the day and begin the night, Funky Blues Shack is known for attracting great artists.  This place lives up to its name and specializes in music and has some of the finest beers on tap.  Check out their website, www.graffitifbs.com for band information and address.

Next on the list is KC’s Beach Bar.  Located in historic Ft Walton Beach, just over the Brooks Bridge, this venue has the atmosphere, location, and friendly service guaranteed make this place a new favorite.  They have live music every night during the summer; so get out there put your feet in the sand and start dancing.  They have a great menu served late in case all the dancing works up your appetite.  Upstairs is a sports bar for those that want to watch the band from above or just relax and enjoy the atmosphere.  KC’s

There is plenty of live happenings around Destin.  The two listed above are a must, while the others in Destin like, Boshamps, AJ’s, Harry T’s, The Boathouse, and Dockside are great to stumble upon.  Some of the great local artists to look for are, Kyle LaMonica, Forrest Williams, Heritage, and Hotel Oscar just to name a few of our local greats.  Check out www.jamebase.com for more live events happening around town.  Now that you know you can find some live music around come parasailing with Destin Beach Parasail during the day then check out Destin’s nightlife.
