Mcguire’s Irish pub is at the top of my list for best restaurants in Destin, Fl. Chef Tim serves it big and delicious, with an unrivaled talent sure to make this one of your favorites as well.  Mcguire’s not only has traditional pub fare, it has much much more. This staple restaurant is best know for its large portions and steaks.  There are not many places around that can compare to the quality Mcguire’s has on every plate.  Also on the menu is fish from around the world, a pasta section, and  over 25 Hamburgers to choose from!       Mcguire’s

The restaurant has won countless awards and has been featured on the Today Show and The Food Network.  It has 11 golden spoon awards!  If the great food and interesting atmosphere are not enough, Mcguire’s makes its own beer.  The beer is brewed in traditional oak and copper barrels.  They have many seasonals and the staples are a light, Irish red, Stout, wild raspberry wheat, a porter, and a root beer.  If you don’t want beer, Mcguire’s has one of the largest restaurant wine sellers in the world! They have won Wine Spectator’s award of excellence for over 15 years running.  They will have the wine for every connoisseur.

Now that you have an idea of what type of restaurant this is and how versatile  it is.  They have one more trick up their sleeve.  Once a month Chef Tim prepares a wine dinner.  This experience will leave you amazed to say the least.  He will provide your palate with flavors only he can entertain.  I did not know food could taste that good.  I wanted to hug him after each course for making me so happy.  As a former mega yacht captain I have seen my share of fine dinning and know that whatever he plates will be a wonderful treat. The wine is paired perfectly and is always fantastic.  The dinner will be five courses and seating is family style.  One sure thing is the company will be happy, festive, and the food will make you want to dance.
