This series will give you a good idea of what is happening around Destin after the sun sets.  After parasailing with Destin Beach Parasail or hanging at the beach, Destin offers lots of things to do.  The good news is most of the restaurants have great bars and are generally great to enjoy an after dinner cocktail.  Many have live music or are located close to where something is happening.

Beginning by the Destin bridge below the Emerald Grand’s Harborwalk you will find the Crab Island Cantina.  They have the best margaritas around, great food, and live entertainment.  Just upstairs is the best Italian restaurant in town, La Famiglia.  In fact just thinking about this restaurant is making me change my plans and go there for dinner.  Walking east is Harry T’s, one of the local favorites along Destin’s Harborwalk.  They have live entertainment upstairs and like La Famiglia, they have the best view of East Pass and the Gulf of Mexico.  This is a great spot to enjoy the weekly firework show on Thursday nights.  Next door is The Crazy Lobster.  They also have live music everyday and a great view of the harbor.  This is a great spot to grab a to go drink for the walk farther east past Destin Beach Parasail’s booth onto Destin’s Boardwalk to AJ’s restaurant just a stone’s throw away.  Downstairs on the dock listen to a live musician playing island songs all evening.    Upstairs the music will take you into the late night hours and is one of the reasons this restaurant/bar is so famous.  Once you finish up on the west end of Destin’s Boardwalk take a leisurely stroll east along the docks until you come to the Boathouse.  It is one of Destin’s favorite spots known for a wild evening of singing, eating, laughing.  Just up the hill from the Boathouse you will find my favorite spot, The Red Door Saloon.  Having the best view of the harbor and the best prices along the harbor this place is one of the best places to simply relax and either enjoy why we live here or to enjoy why you vacationed here.  It is mostly outside with a large deck to sit and sip on cocktails while catching up on sea stories with friends.

Destin’s Boardwalk has plenty of night entertainment; enough to keep you smiling for the entire summer.  This is just one section of what Destin and the surrounding area offers as far as what to do in Destin at is concerned.   Not only is it just one section but is only a cross section of what there is to do on Destin’s Boardwalk.  Also on the list of things to do on The Boardwalk is Margaritaville, a zipline, a frozen daiquiri bar, a mining game for kids, lazer tag, and many more shops and kiosks to keep you and the family busy for hours and hours.
